Cupcakes and macaroons. Even if you are not a sweet tooth or culinary talent, they are a feast for the eyes. Pastels are making a great comeback, not just in the nursery. They look romantic, sweet and delightfully nostalgic. Make pastels modern by combining them with metallic accents such as copper orange – tipped by Akzo Nobel as the colour trend for 2015 – and playfully mixing various designs and textures. It is impossible to think of interiors without powdery pink, but we are also seeing the return of very soft natural tones like greyish sky blue, mint green and wheat yellow on our floors, walls and in a wide range of accessories.
